Effects of water stress on germination and flowering of Curcuma kwangsiensis ‘Manao'

Proper water stress could advance the flowering period and increase the flowering percentage of Curcuma kwangsiensis‘Manao'. The effects of water stress on germination and flowering of Curcuma kwangsiensis‘Manao' during germination and hydroponics were studied. The results showed that watering once every five days was the best method for germination,and that the germination percentage was 96%, flowering percentage achieved 68%,the flower height achieved 12.31 cm. The treatment with water stress for 6 d after hydroponics for 8 d, achieved the more higher flowering percentage and flower height than other treatments.It was found out that water stress for 3 d after hydroponics for 6 d, the lowest water percentage of rhizome was achieved,while the conductivity and proline content were higher than other treaments.Under this treatment, the normal physiological activities of the rhizomes was much more well.

Biological characteristics and embryo development of mulberry root-knot nematode

To study the biological characteristics and embryo development of mulberry root-knot nematode by measuring the effect of different temperature and pH value on the eggs hatching and dormancy, and observing embryonic development process, the results showed that the optimum temperature for egg hatching was 25~28 ℃. The egg cannot develop into larvae below 10 ℃, and die at 35 ℃ or above; The egg hatching rate was higher at pH value of 5 and 7, being 46.67% and highest at 25 ℃, up to 74.31%, lowest at 10 down to 10.24%, eggs died below pH 4 or above pH 9; the survival rate of eggs was the 32.78%, 53.19%, 74.31%, 70.26%, and 19.21%, respectively. The egg crouching rate was the highest at 10 ℃, being 72.42%, lower at 20, 25 and 30 ℃, getting to 43.69%、21.83% and 25.58%, respectively. The time from the development of the unicellular egg to the second instar larvae was 10~13 d under 25 ℃.

Detection of virus infecting passion fruit in Guangdong

Passion fruit(Passiflora edulis)has become an important fruit in south China in recent years. Due to its asexual reproduction and planting for several years, virus diseases seriously affect the yield and quality of passion fruit. A disease survey was conducted on the passion fruit of Boluo, Huaiji, Wuhua, Xingning, Dapu, Xinfeng, Heping in Guangdong Province, and suspected samples were collected. The results indicated that virus diseases, with symptoms of mosaic, crinkle and mottle, were important diseases of passion fruit. The specific primers were designed based on the conservative sequences of Cucumber mosaic virus(CMV), Passion fruit woodiness virus(PWV), and Passiflora mottle virus(PaMV) to detect these viruses by RT-PCR, then sequenced and analyzed. The results showed that CMV was detected from Zixiang of Huaiji and Dapu, Tainong1 hao of Xinfeng, and PaMV from Mantianxing of Wuhua.

Analysis of heat tolerance of main edible chrysanthemum varieties in Guangdong

Through the thermal damage evaluation and data analysis of 6 heat resistance indexes of 5 Guangdong edible chrysanthemum varieties in the field, the results showed that there was no significant difference in the conductivity and catalase activity between the five edible chrysanthemum varieties; however, the difference in malondialdehyde(MAD) content is significant, among them, the highest MAD content of ‘Donghaixile' was 0.27 μmol·L-1, and the lowest content of ‘Shuanglichanjuan' and ‘CaoAnjinlu' was 0.2 μmol·L-1; there are also significant differences in chlorophyll content between varieties, among them, the highest content of ‘Qiansiwanlv' was 4.28 mg·g-1, and the lowest content of ‘CaoAnjinlu' was 2.87 mg·g-1; there were significant differences in peroxidase activity, among them, the highest activity of ‘Donghaihihe' was 728.00 U·g-1·min-1, and the lowest of ‘Baohingtangyijin' was 196.75 U·g-1·min-1; for the superoxide dismutase activity, there were significant differences among the three varieties except for ‘Qiansiwanlv' and ‘Baoxingtangyijin', and the highest content of ‘Qiansiwanlv' was 362.18 U·g-1·h-1, and the lowest of ‘CaoAnjinlu' was 344.29 U·g-1·h-1. According to the analysis of the membership function, there was a significant difference in heat resistance among the varieties. The membership function value of ‘Qiansiwanlv' was 0.70, and peaked in the 5 varieties,with the lowest value of 0.29 in‘Baoxingtangyijin'.The heat resistance of 5 varieties was ranked as ‘Qiansiwanlv' > ‘CaoAnjinlu' > ‘Donghaixile' > ‘Shuanglichanjuan' > ‘Baoxingtangyijin'.

High and stable yield analysis of waxy maize varieties in regional test of Guangdong

In order to better identify the high and stable yield of waxy maize varieties(Zea mays L.sinensis Kulesh) in Guangdong, the regional test data of nine groups of new waxy maize combinations were analyzed by high stability coefficient and stability parameter method. The results showed that the top three combinations with the highest stability coefficient were Guangtiannuo 1, Jingkenuo 656 and Yuehuanuo 1. But simultaneously they showed a high and unstable yield in the analysis of stability parameters. Based on the data from the two analytical methods Guangtiannuo 1 was the best combination with high and stable yield in the regional test. This study indicated that the high stability coefficient method could reflect the high and stable yield of waxy maize varieties as a whole.

Fluorescence microscopic observation and free-hand section techniques for rice leaves

Free-hand sectioning is often used in the study of plant cell structure. However, the traditional method of free-hand sectioning needs high technical requirements and complicated destaining and staining. The free-hand sectioning to make slices of rice leaves was improved using two pieces of shaver, and the cell structure was observed through visible and ultraviolet light microscope. The result showed that the clearest cell structure and vascular bundle of leaves were obtained under blue fluorescence, which is fit to analysis the number and size of bulliform cell and cell in vascular bundle. Our results indicated that fluorescence microscopic observation for free-hand section was a very simple and so-easy learned technique.

Delignification of mulberry with CO2supercritical fluid extraction

Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction was used to remove the lignin from the bark. The extraction process was optimized by orthogonal test of 4 factors and 3 levels. The component analysis was carried out by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).The results showed that the sequence of factors affecting lignin removal from bark was temperature>pressure>entrainer volume>time. The lignin removal rate was 71.62% when the extraction temperature was 160 ℃, the extraction pressure was 20 MPa, the extraction time was 90 min and the entrainer was 2.0 mL.The results of GC-MS analysis showed that aldehydes, alcohols and ketones containing ethoxyl and pentacyclic structure existed in all extracts, which indicated that not only lignin but also cellulose and hemicellulose carbohydrates were degraded during the extraction process. Scanning electron microscopy was used to compare the skin texture before and after supercritical extraction. The results showed that after supercritical extraction, many holes appeared on the surface of the sample, and the smooth surface became rough and uneven.

Purification and structural characterization of polysaccharides from Hakka Rice Wine

The polysaccharides from Hakka Rice Wine was separated by ion exchange chromatography, and a neutral component and an acid component were obtained. The neutral monosaccharide components G1 was purified by gel column, and the G1 was obtained. G1 was determined by GC-MS and HPLC-ELSD. The results showed that Hakka rice wine polysaccharide G1 mainly composed of glucose and also ribose, maltotriose, arabinose, mannose, isomaltotriose xylose, galactose and isomaltose.The infrared spectrum result showed that the characteristic absorption peak of mannose was obtained by infrared spectroscopy. The Hakka rice wine polysaccharide G1 was a heteropolysaccharide that composed of 17 monosaccharides and contained α-type,β-type glycoside, pyrone-based, and no glucuronic acid.

Optimization and verification of the arrangement of lamp beads for LED light source for plant growth based on TracePro

In order to improve the illumination uniformity and intensity of the LED light source for plant growth, in this study, the three kinds of arrangement patterns of LED light source beads were designed by Tracepro optical simulation software. And the arrangement schemes of equal spacing and arithmetic progression were constructed, and the best lamp bead arrangements were presented by comparing with the uniformity and the light intensity of every scheme. The simulation results showed that the arrangement and combination schemes had a certain influence on the irradiance and uniformity, and the uniformity of the light source of the double-line arrangement with the SA40 was higher than other methods. In order to verify the reliability of the arrangement, a real experiment was setup based on the simulation optimal result(SA40 double-line), the light source of the single-line arrangement(CK30) and the traditional LED white light was used as the control group to build illumination platforms combined with 6 light sources. The uniformity of the three sets of light sources was measured at a distance of 150 mm. The experimental results showed that the illumination uniformity of the double-line arrangement of SA40 had a good performance with 88.93% uniformity that the arrangement parameters were reasonable.

Design of multi-point wireless monitoring system for greenhouse based on LoRa

According to the demand of greenhouse monitoring and the existing problems of greenhouse monitoring system, a multi-point wireless monitoring system for greenhouse based on LoRa was proposed. The system was made of a wireless greenhouse monitoring device based on LoRa and upper computer software. The greenhouse wireless monitoring device based on LoRa realized the functions of temperature and humidity acquisition, illumination acquisition, LCD display and LoRa communication and so on. The upper computer software realized the functions of user login, greenhouse environment state real-time display, historical monitoring data query and user information management and so on. The communication between the greenhouse monitoring device and the upper computer software was carried out by LoRa wireless technology. The system application and analysis results showed that the designed system could effectively realize multi-point wireless monitoring of greenhouse, and the operation effect was good.

Research and test of intelligent access control system based on Raspberry Pi and cloud platform

An intelligent access control system was implemented based on the face recognition technology resources of Baidu cloud platform. Using the face recognition cloud service platform for real-time face analysis, it was not only convenient to use, but also ensured the validity and accuracy of the recognition data. The system also realized the real-time message reminder function based on email and WeChat. The system was divided into two parts: hardware and software. The hardware part of the system took Raspberry Pi 3 B+ as the control core, which was connected with camera, stepping motor, control circuit, touch button circuit and other modules; The software part based on Baidu cloud platform constructed the information management and control system in different operating environments. The system was tested via the application scenario simulation, and the results show that the system ran reliably, the external modules and system circuit ran well. What's more, the recognition accuracy was greater than 97%, and the average response time of the motor was 1.3 s, the functions of message remote receive and dispatch, information management and control system were executed normally. There was no abnormal error in the test process. The final effect of the system reached the expected goal, which could provide reference for the relevant design.

Environmental factors play an important role in animal reproduction, mainly by regulating secretion of reproductive hormones in the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis. Gonadotropin-inhibitory hormone(GnIH), as an important reproductive inhibitor of hypothalamic secretion, plays an important role in mediating animal reproduction. The mechanism of GnIH in light, stress, population effects on animal reproduction and steroid hormone negative feedback regulation in animal was comprehensively and systematically reviewed to provide reference for subsequent GnIH related research.

According to the list of drug and food homologous articles promulgated by the Ministry of Health of China, functional components in homologous articles and its blood pressure lowering mechanism of 10 kinds of medicines with blood pressure lowering functions such as Laiwuzi, Hawthorn, Chrysanthemum, Pueraria, Cassia, Oyster, Papaya, Bergamot, Walnut and Kumbu were expounded from the perspective of dietary therapy. The development status of blood pressure lowering foods was summarized, and the development prospects and directions of medicines and food homologous blood pressure lowering foods was pointed out.
