Abstract:In order to identify the pathogen of anthracnose of Zanthoxylum nitidum, according to Koch's postulate, the pathogenic fungi isolate L-2 was obtained from diseased Zanthoxylum nitidum samples from Meizhou, Guangdong province. Identification of the isolate was carried out through morphological characteristics and phylogeny analysis of glycerol aldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase ( GAPDH) gene, the result showed that L-2 was similar to Colletotrichum karstii in morphological characteristics and clustered in the same branch with the latter in the GAPDH phylogeny tree. So L-2 was identified as C. karstii based on morphological characteristics and phylogeny analysis.
