Abstract:In order to better identify the high and stable yield of waxy maize varieties(Zea mays L.sinensis Kulesh) in Guangdong, the regional test data of nine groups of new waxy maize combinations were analyzed by high stability coefficient and stability parameter method. The results showed that the top three combinations with the highest stability coefficient were Guangtiannuo 1, Jingkenuo 656 and Yuehuanuo 1. But simultaneously they showed a high and unstable yield in the analysis of stability parameters. Based on the data from the two analytical methods Guangtiannuo 1 was the best combination with high and stable yield in the regional test. This study indicated that the high stability coefficient method could reflect the high and stable yield of waxy maize varieties as a whole.
