Abstract Babylonia areolata is a kind of marine shellfish with high edible value and economic value, which has delicious quality, rich in nutrition, and growing fast. In this paper, artificial breeding, nutritional needs and artificial compound feed, identification and prevention and control of the related pathogenic bacteria of Babylonia areolata were reviewed. The purpose is to provide some references for the healthy, efficient and sustainable development of Babylonia industry.
