Effect of harvest period and water deficit time on preservation of Curcuma hybrida ‘Red Torch’ cut flower

Curcuma hybrida ‘Red Torch’ belonged to Zingiberaceae, which can be used as a garden green flower and fresh cut flower. At present, there are few studies on the postharvest growth of ‘Red Torch’. To explore the appropriate harvest treatment methods, in this study, according to the growth of scape during the full flowering stage of ‘Red Torch’, it was divided into five periods for harvesting, and inserted into the deionized water; The same growth period of ‘Red Torch’ was separated from water 0, 2, 4, 6 h and then resealed in bottle to observe its performance. The result shows that, the cut flower performance was closely related to the development of scape at the time of collection, and the vase performance of cut flower was optimal at the middle stage of development after collection; the cut flower ‘Red Torch’, rehydrating immediately after harvesting in field, performance in bottle work best, even it's bottle life lasted for 26 d. ‘Red Torch’ cut flower's life will be reduced significantly with water deficit over 4 h (P<0.05). Therefore, ‘Red Torch’ should be harvested in the middle stage of scape development, and rehydrate as soon as possible after harvesting, which can achieve better preservation effect and higher quality.

Effcts of combined application of selenium fertilizer on uptake and yield of sesame

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different application methods of selenium fertilizer on uptake and yield in sesame (Sesamum indidum L.). A field experiment was conducted to study the uptake and accumulation of different combined application of selenium fertilizer by sesame (cv. Zhengzhi DW607) and the effects of these fertilizers on sesame yield.The experiment included four fertilizer treatments: an unfertilized control, X1 (selenium enrichment liquid fertilizer), X2 (selenium enrichment liquid fertilizer + Zn), X3 (selenium enrichment liquid fertilizer + KH2PO4) and X4 (selenium enrichment liquid fertilizer + Zn + KH2PO4). Results indicated that the yield increased in all treatments following selenium application, with X4 treatment showing the biggest increase. Compared to that of control, plant height, capsule axis length, capsule number per plant, seed number per capsule, 1000-seed weight and yield per plant of X4 treatment increased 13.8%, 26.7%, 21.0%, 25.5%, 8.1% and 20.5%, respectively, with the differences at significant level. The selenium element content of each sesame organ in the order leaves > seeds > capsule peels > stems > roots. The highest content of selenium was determined in X4 treatment, with a 93.3% increase more than that in the contrast. The foliar spraying of a compound geritilizer (selenium enrichment liquid fertilizer + Zn + KH2PO4) stimulated the uptake of selenium by the sesame plant, increased the amount of selenium in leaves and seeds.

XGBoost based dust prediction for waterfowl breeding

In order to improve the accuracy of dust prediction in waterfowl breeding, a dust prediction model for waterfowl breeding based on XGBoost was proposed. More important parameters were extracted for prediction, which simplified the model to reduce the calculation difficulty. Then, the normalized data, which was inputted into the model for training and optimization, were compared with that of other traditional models finally. The average absolute percentage error, the average absolute error, and the root mean square error of the prediction model evaluation indicators were 0.010 4, 0.190 2, and 0.240 6, respectively, which were lower than that of the comparative model. The results verified that the XGBoost model proposed had better prediction accuracy and robust performance, which could provide a novel effective method for the intelligentization of waterfowl breeding.

Preparation and characterization of hemicelluloses/chitosan/gelatin green antibacterial packaging film

Hemicelluloses has strong hydrogen bonding which results in the films with poor elasticity. Although chitosan has good membrane forming properties, the single component chitosan membrane is brittle. Therefore, this study used gelatin to enhance hemicelluloses and chitosan, and applied glycerol as plasticizer to construct the packaging films with good mechanical properties and antibacterial ability. This study explored the influences of the mass ratio of hemicelluloses, chitosan and gelatin as well as the dosage of glycerol on the sensory quality, mechanical properties, antibacterial ability and permeability of the films. The results showed that with the mass ratio of hemicelluloses, chitosan and gelatin of 1 ∶1 ∶1, the dosage of glycerol of 20% hemicelluloses, the composite film has the best performance, with the tensile strength of (3.71±0.13) MPa, the elongation at break of (38.62±1.03)%, the gas permeability of 0.17 cc/(m2·d·0.1 MPa), the diameter of the inhibition zones against Staphylococcus aureu of (35.9±3.7)mm and Escherichia coli of (34.7±2.3) mm. The obtained films can be potentially used for the preservation of fruits and vegetables.

Dynamic proliferation of microencapsulated insect virus in host

To further understand the infection process of microencapsulated nuclear polyhedrosis virus (Spodoptera litura nuclear polyhedrosis virus,SINPV) in the host. In this paper, virus microcapsules were prepared with gelatin/carboxymethyl cellulose (Carboxymethylcellulose, CMC) as wall material, tea polyphenols as curing agent and nuclear polyhedral virus of moth litura as core material. Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) was established to detect the amount of virus in infected larvae from midgut, hemolymph and intact larvae, and to investigate the proliferation dynamics of microencapsulated nuclear polyhedomavirus in different tissues of host larvae. The results showed that the proliferation rate of microencapsulated viruses in the initial stage was lower than that of unencapsulated viruses, and the time of microencapsulated viruses arriving at the platform stage of midgut tissue and hemolymph tissue were later by 10 h and 20 h, respectively. Finally, the copy number of virus gene in midgut tissue in larvae was stable at 10^5-10^5.5, while that in hemolymph was stable at 10^4-10^5. Microencapsulation did not change the rule of virus proliferation in insects, and the inactivation efficiency to the insect depends on the activity of the embedded virus.

Pesticide-loading and sustained release performance of functionalization of hexagonal boron nitride nanoplatelets assisted with polysaccharide and protein

In order to reduce the pollution of organic solvents to the environment during the use of traditional pesticides and improve the use efficiency of pesticides, the hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) was modified by ball milling with the aid of Carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) and Soy protein isolate (SPI). The modified boron nitride carrier was used to adsorb the model drug triadimefon, and different composite systems were prepared by impregnation method. The interaction between pesticide and functionalized nano-carrier was characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), ultraviolet diffuse reflection (UV-DRS), and the slow and controlled release of triadimefon on modified boron nitride carrier was also. the loading amount of triadimefon on the modified boron nitride nanoplates was the highest under acidic conditions, (164.1±2.2) mg·g-1, and the cumulative release rate of triadimefon was only (27.25±0.57)% after 95 h at pH5. The process of pesticide release was in accordance with Korsmeyer Peppas model, the mechanism of diffusion was controlled by physical diffusion, ion exchange and drug dissolution. The contact angle with cucumber leaf surface decreased to (76.75±0.67)°, which indicated that the wettability was improved. The residual amount was still 51.6% after exposing to UV for 460 min. The existence of modified boron nitride composite carrier improved the affinity of triadimefon with cucumber leaf surface, controlled release ability and UV stability which providing a simple way to achieve simultaneous stripping and functionalization of hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets for pesticide loading and transportation.

Study on the release of phosphorus from residual sludge in an square internal circulation ozone fluidized bed

Phosphorus in the residual sludge is an important reusable resource. In order to solve the technical problem of phosphorus release from the residual sludge, a self-developed square internal circulation ozone fluidized bed unit was used to explore the controlling factors of phosphorus release from the residual sludge and reveal the release mechanism of phosphorus. The results showed that when the intake concentration was 3.0 g·L-1, pH 9.1, and the operating time was 1.0 h, the release of phosphorus gradually stabilized, and the release mass of total phosphorus reached about 6.9 g/L of residual sludge (containing 5% solids), accounting for 77.5% of the mass fraction of phosphorus in the sludge, of which the mass of inorganic phosphorus accounted for 41.1%. The phosphorus speciation analysis method (SMT) was used to analyze the distribution characteristics of all forms of phosphorus, and it was found that the phosphorus released was mainly in the form of inorganic phosphorus, mainly in the form of apatite. The release mass concentration of organophosphorus increased first and then decreased, and all forms of nitrogen in the residual sludge were also released. The ozone fluidized bed unit can provide a new method for phosphorus release from residual sludge.

Evaluation of development level of agricultural products E-commerce and analysis of the constraints

Agricultural products E-commerce was important in promoting the smooth advancement of the rural revitalization strategy. An evaluation index system for evaluating the development level of agricultural products E-commerce was established through the literature induction method, taking 22 provinces, 5 municipalities and 4 autonomous regions in mainland China in 2018 were taken as the research objects. Topsis (Technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution) model was used to evaluate the development level. Then, based on the system clustering method, the research objects were divided into three categories and their characteristics were analyzed. There were significant regional and category differences in the development of agricultural products E-commerce in China. What's more, the evaluation results were verified by the grey correlation degree method. Then, the obstacle analysis model was used to analyze the constraints of agricultural product E-commerce development. Finally, some advice were proposed on the development of agricultural products E-commerce, like optimize the regional layout of domestic agricultural products E-commerce development.

Effect of options listing on price fluctuation clustering of futures market——Based on empirical analysis of soybean meal market in China

Based on the daily data of soybean meal and other futures contract prices in Dalian Commodity Exchange from March 2013 to December 2018, the effect of soybean meal options listing on price fluctuation clustering of futures market were analyzed using GARCH model and synthetic control method. Results showed that the price fluctuation of soybean meal futures had not been greatly affected in the early stage of soybean meal options listing, but the inhibitory effect of soybean meal options on the clustering of soybean meal futures price fluctuation gradually appears over time. Therefore, relevant departments should strengthen the linkage construction of futures market and options market, orderly reduce the threshold of options market transactions, and better play the function of futures and options market price that to discover and avoid risks.

An image encryption method based on memristive time-delay chaotic system

Based on the mathematical model of generalized memristive devices, a memristive time-delay chaotic system was proposed and the basic dynamic characteristics of it was analyzed. A dual diffusion image encryption and decryption algorithm was designed based on the sequence of it. Through the nonlinear operations such as modulo and XOR, the plaintext, ciphertext and secret key were influenced mutually other, and the connection between plaintext and ciphertext was reduced effectively. Moreover, the effect of encryption was verified by the analysis of histogram, correlation, key sensitivity and antinoise attack. Correspondingly, the validity and feasibility of the algorithm were proved by the numerical results.

The polyphenolic hydroxyl structure of tannic acid has high reactivity, with the characteristics of low price, wide sources and good biocompatibility. This article summarizes the research progress of tannic acid in the field of functional materials in recent years. These materials have huge potential applications in drug delivery, tumor diagnosis and treatment, new pesticide formulations, and the treatment of certain diseases.
