Abstract：In recent years, Lepidoptera insect pests have been the main pests in mulberry tree in Guangdong, which cause great economic losses to sericulture production every year. Through the investigation and collection of the pest of Lepidoptera insect pest in mulberry, 5 Lepidoptera insect pests were identified by morphology and molecular(cytochrome oxidase subunit I gene mtCOI) identification, they were Glyphodes pyloalis Walker, Orvasca subnotata Walker, Orgyia australis Walker, Homona coffearia Meyrick and Hyposidra talaca Walker. O. subnotata was first reported to damage mulberry in our country. H.coffearia and H. talaca were first reported to attack mulberry in Guangdong.
