Abstract:In order to understand the effects of sugarcane-peanut intercropping on the peanut and sugarcane, field experiments of sugarcane monoculture,peanut monoculture and sugarcane-peanut intercropping were carried out. The results showed that, when compared with sugarcane monoculture,the sugarcane plant height increased by 5.22%,the single effective stem weight increased by 10.53%, the stem length increased by 15.39%, the effective stem number increased by 0.05%,the sucrose content increased by 6.18%,and the yield increased by 9 997 kg/hm2 in the sugarcane-peanut intercropping field. When compared with monoculture peanut,intercropping peanut grew well and the yield was relatively stable. Soil pH decreased and soil conductivity increased in the intercropping field. In conclusion,peanut-sugarcane intercropping can improve the agronomic and economic properties of sugarcane,and significantly improve soil pH and electrical conductivity. Therefore,sugarcane-peanut intercropping is an efficient cultivation mode.
